Experiencing a winter wonderland in Zugspitze, otherwise known as the Top of Germany.
Zugspitze, a magical part of the Bavarian alps with mountains for as far as the eye can see. With its amazing panorama of shapes, textures and tones that transformed with the afternoon light. A place where you can admire skiers and snowboarders dance down the crisp, white slopes in a bright rainbow of colours. Where you can’t help but dream and be filled with wonder.
“A little magic can take you a long way.” – Roald Dahl
How we got there:
We took a day trip from Munich in search of winter wonderland via a train ride to Zugspitze station Garmisch-Partenkirchen. From there we hopped on a charming cog wheel train that leisurely took us towards the mountains. From Eibsee I highly recommend taking the cable car up to Zugspitze peak. The views of Eibsee Lake and the mountains are incredible and you truly get a sense of the scale of your surroundings.
