“I must have flowers, always, and always.” – Claude Monet

I still remember the first time that I fell in love with Claude Monet’s incredible art. It was 2008 in New York City and I had the pleasure of feasting my eyes upon ‘Water Lilies’ at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I was immediately in awe of the dreamy blue hues and whimsical tones and textures. From that moment I knew that I had to visit Monet’s garden and home in Giverny to experience the inspiration behind many of his wonderful works.

A longtime dream that became a wonderful reality last summer.

Visiting Monet’s garden was nothing short of a magical experience. From the rainbow of endless flowers and plants, intoxicating scents and the charming home that he shared with his family. The highlight of this experience was undoubtedly exploring the water garden, with its incredible lilies scattered playfully along the pond. The tranquil tones, textures and reflections on the water were even more vivid than I had imagined.

It truly was an instance of art becoming life and life becoming art.
