Lace up

Wedge sneakers: See by Chloe

After an initial package retrieval struggle between myself and DHL/Australia Post (think Carrie Bradshaw and her dry cleaning battle), I was so excited to find these wedge sneaker stunners on my coffee table this evening.

I have been coveting these babies for a while now and was ecstatic to purchase them at a discounted price thanks to Shopbop.

These uber comfy wedge heeled sneakers will be the perfect mid week substitute for the high heels that I will be wearing during Sydney Fashion Week (MBFWA). Fashion week is just around the corner and I am BEYOND excited!

Wish 'Mistaken For Strangers'

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Wish 'Mistaken For Strangers' press showing, held at the VIP Library of The Marquee- The Star.

I took in the fabulous Spring/Summer collection over yummy canapes and cocktails, in one of the most amazing spaces I have had the pleasure of visiting.

My eye was immediately drawn to the rainbow of fun, floaty pieces, however it was the transeasonal jackets that stole the show. The asymmetrical zipper and stripe stitching details provide edge to these staple jackets.

Special thanks to Madeline and the Wish team for a lovely evening.

Heel and toe

My magpie ways have continued with the addition of these heels to my shoe collection. I love how these two classic styles have been given a modern edge with the addition of metallic heels and toes. Definitely going to get well aquatinted with these babies during Sydney Fashion Week (MBFWA), which is fast approaching!

In print

Photos by Max Rowan

Today I decked myself out in prints to run morning errands with Max, and visit my parents for lunch to celebrate my Step-Dad's birthday.

You may already be familiar with this skirt from another post, that I scored for twenty dollars during an Urban Outfitters online sale. I love how the cool flying duck print comes to life with movement. This skirt is definitely one of my favourite printed pieces to date.

I am currently in full Sydney Fashion Week (MBFWA) mode and in the midst of outfit planning. Excitement levels are pretty high at the moment and I cannot wait to share my experiences with my lovely readers.

Reflect

Photos by Max Rowan

Don't let these shots fool you. Sydney has experienced rather chilly weather the last couple of days compared to last weeks Summer renaissance. Today I wore a warm, comfy knit and boots to counteract the drop in temperature, however was not prepared for the intense wind that turned my maxi skirt acrobatic whilst I walked.

At least the afternoon sun was kind enough to reflect upon my metallic knit and turn it into an impromptu heat blanket. Love multi-purpose pieces!

Pop art

Since sharing my adoration for the Karla Spetic AW12 'Heart' collection here I have been counting down the days to experience this collection first hand. The wait was over this long weekend after being introduced to this piece of pop art print perfection at The Corner Shop.

This fabulous pop art print has been adapted from Roy Lichtenstein's 'Kiss series'. I cannot wait to wear this amazing top at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

Blue sky

Photos by Max Rowan

This collection of blue shades is reminiscent of the perfect blue skies that Sydney has been privileged to this long weekend. Blue has always been my favourite colour and is very much a prominent presence in my wardrobe.

I decided to give this awesome vintage dress some layering love by adding this shirt turns vest to the equation. Got to love versatile pieces in your wardrobe.

I hope you are all enjoying the long weekend!

Feminine edge

Photos by Max Rowan

Yesterday I had the best of both worlds with this feminine rock chic outfit. Whilst my personal style is fluid with my various moods and life experiences what remains constant is the edgy, preppy and romantic undertones that build the foundation for my outfit choices.

I love the edginess of this amazing Wish jacket paired with my go-to uber romantic floral blouse. The leather and lace combination provides natural balance to the outfit without detracting from the individual impact of each piece.

Does your personal style remain constant or is it ever changing?

Prints on graffiti

Photos by Max Rowan

I donned this fun print mix for a casual Sunday stroll around the shops and movie date with my boyfriend. After having admired the sunny surroundings outside my window this morning, I was immediately drawn to these yellow suede brogues that have taken a back step due to the rainy weather of late.

It really was perfect weekend weather here in Sydney with Summer graces us with its presence. It is the start of April but better late than never.
