Denim and stripes

Photos by Max Rowan

I battled the Sydney humidity last Sunday in my go to striped skirt and denim combo. This chic lightweight skirt was the only logical option to wear for casual brunching and movie going. My daily essentials and cute bookshop purchases were effortlessly stored in this great bag from Beginning Boutique. I really like the awesome skull design on the front of the bag.

I hope you are all having a fantastic week!

Metallics

I have become quite the magpie lately and am completely obsessed with all things shiny and metallic. Here is the beginning of what is likely to be an extensive Autumn/Winter metallic knit collection.

Dressed in sunshine

ASOS Dress with Dropped Waist
ASOS Bodycon Dress With Brushstroke Print
ASOS Mini Summer Dress With Dipped Back Hem

With Summer almost over here in Australia I am becoming more and more drawn to yellow pieces. In search of 'instant happy' dresses to keep Summer alive I paid ASOS a visit and was very impressed with the range of sunshine shaded pieces available.

Within the extensive wish list created these three dresses in particular really spoke to me. I can easily see myself out to brunch in the lovely dropped waist dress paired with my trusty chelsea boots.

If solid yellow pieces are not your cup of tea, black and yellow pieces such as this lovely brushstroke print number are great alternatives. Adding black accessories such a great belt or pair of heels is a another way to break up the yellow without taking the wow factor away from your outfit.

Would you wear yellow?

MaxShop.com W12 Launch

Aprilia in a gorgeous berry hued coat from the collection.

Photos one and seven via MaxShop.com, other photos by Dark Blue Stripes

Last Thursday I had the pleasure of attending the MaxShop.com W12 launch at MiCK the Gallery in Paddington.

The Winter collection consisted of gorgeous coats, cosy knits and adorable blouses. In particular I loved the super cute fox print blouse and the amazing black jacket that I am wearing in the last shot.

Despite the Thursday afternoon sunshine the lovely white trees and deer decor really got me into 'A Winter's Tale' state of mind. I know I was not alone in thinking that the deer was rocking some seriously cool headwear.

With free shipping to Australia and a range of beautiful yet affordable pieces on offer make sure to visit MaxShop.com and keep an eye out for the upcoming Winter collection.

Thank you Kate and the rest of the MaxShop.com team for throwing a wonderful event.

Stars in her eyes

Photos by Aprilia Love

I wore this outfit last Thursday to attend the MaxShop.com W12 collection launch (watch this space for more details) with Aprilia where we got Winter minded, ate yummy canapes and adored the cute decorations around the room.

This lovely star print blouse was a recent purchase from Zara and came out the winner over an equally cute horse print blouse (may have to go back to see if it is still there!). I really like how rich the green velvet skirt looks paired with the sheer black.

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend! To all the Sydneysiders out there I hope you got to experience the gorgeous yet infrequent sunshine today.

Birds flying high

Photos by Max Rowan

After a crazy few days between posts I am so happy to share these outfit shots with you all.  I wore this outfit last Sunday (pre-storm) for brunching and book shopping with my boyfriend in Newtown. Finding a second-hand Andy Warhol book at one of the local book stores filled with amazing shots from the factory years was definitely a highlight.  My love for pop art continues.

The preppy feel of this outfit is very much my cup of tea with fun details such as the bow tie on this lovely blouse that I picked up from the Pinclove pop-up store.  Pairing this blouse with a super cool bird print skirt seemed like the only logical option. Of course the outfit would not have been complete without my Karen Walker shiny mini star ring from Beginning Boutique.

New arrival: Shiny little star

Photos by Max Rowan

Ring: Karen Walker via Beginning Boutique

After lusting over the amazing Karen Walker jewellery collection for what feels like forever I was so excited to receive this lovely gift in the mail from Beginning Boutique. How adorable is the little sterling silver star on the dainty ring band. I cannot wait to show off this amazing piece in an outfit post soon!

Now that I own this amazing piece from the Karen Walker jewellery collection I simply must have them all! Those anchor stud earrings are just too cute for words. Nautical addiction is in overdrive right now!

 Which piece is your favourite?

Sunset

Photos by Max Rowan

Last Sunday I opted for colour and cute and polka dots to celebrate what I fear may have been the last warm and sunny Summer day that Sydney will experience for a while. I love the 'instant happy' yellow polka dots on the amazingly light feel Mink Pink top that moves effortlessly in the afternoon wind. This top paired with the wonderfully vibrant red pleated Topshop shorts created an energetic yet relaxed outfit perfect for wandering around the shops and watching the sunset.
