MBFWA: New Generation One

Here are my favourite looks from the New Generation One show. This show was definitely one of my favourites due to the great spectrum of design aesthetics on display.

First down the runway was Collecting Pretty Boys, which featured a collection of complementing contrasts. The edgy 'volcanic galaxy-esque' prints paired with voluminous, floaty fabrics and leather tights achieved a harmonious balance of hard and soft.

Elliatt created a fun, feminine atmosphere with their collection of florals, pastel watercolour prints, sequins and well tailored separates. I adore the cut and shoulder detailing on that watercolour print top.

Eye-catching tropical prints, crisp white separates and metallics caught my eye at the Kristi Rose show. That gold metallic dress screams sports luxe and would look super cool paired with my favourite See by Chloe sneakers.

Soft geometric prints, peplums and pops of fluoro were high on my radar at the Tovah show. I'm definitely thinking that fluoro jacket would be perfect to tackle the unpredictable Melbourne weather next week.

Kahlo demonstrated that they are masters of leather with expertly cut dresses, tops and skirts in black and tan. I have serious admiration for that killer preppy black and white combination in the last shot. This collection is definitely at the top of my wardrobe wish list!

Which piece takes your fancy?
