MBFWA: Aurelio Costarella

Aurelio Costarella was successful in reinvigorating my childhood imagination at his fashion show last Monday evening.

The dreamy 1920's oriental inspired colour palette worked harmoniously with the amazing feather, raffia and ribbon detailing on the floaty dresses. Of particular note were the beautiful feather skirts on the cocktail dresses, that brought touching fragility in contrast to the form fitting bodices.

Pom poms are also high on my radar after witnessing those brilliant headpieces. Such statement pieces that brought the collection to a whole other level.

I loved the ethereal styling complimented the collection perfectly. That super cool Sailor Moon-esque spin on the mid ponytail is definitely worth a try.

  2. Headpieces are amazing! i loved Miss Unkon & Zimmermann for similar reasons; they all had this soft, pretty, ethereal style, almost nymph-like
