This outfit combines a couple of my favourite things of late being florals and bows. I love the romantic, casual chic feel of this outfit. The Loverbird floral blouse has been so versatile to wear with a variety of pieces in my wardrobe making it quite the Summer staple.

Boxing Day

 I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas! My boyfriend and I took these shots of my boxing day outfit in between food comas. I opted for comfortable yet classic pieces that would withstand the recent Summer sun and humidity that Sydney has been lacking for weeks. I love pairing mustard with neutral pieces to achieve a fresh, clean look.

Bon Voyage

This outfit reflects my recent reminiscing of past holiday seasons spent abroad. I found this old t-shirt in my wardrobe the other day and was instantly reminded of the magical Christmas spent in New York a few years ago. Whilst I will not be having a white Christmas this year, I am very happy about spending this Christmas with friends and family. It will also be the first Christmas spent with my boyfriend in our apartment which is very exciting.

Eclectic

I battled the Sydney Christmas shopping crowds in mixed prints on Saturday. I love the sheer fabric of this floral printed blouse combined with the perfect touch of a pussy bow collar. The polka dot skirt works really well with the feminine florals, balancing them out to achieve a fun, colourful look.

How is your Christmas shopping going? I am almost finished with mine luckily!

Printspiration

Oyster #96 (December/January 2012): Léa Seydoux

I love these shots of French actress Léa Seydoux for Oyster Magazine. The combination of the fresh-faced beauty with the amazing Prada print pieces is definitely a winner. Whilst sadly I am not in New York right now (need to get back there ASAP!) I can certainly see myself combining colourful prints to achieve a fun, energetic look this Summer.

Maxi split

It is hard to believe that this is the first outfit post showcasing the brilliance that is a maxi skirt. I had been looking for the perfect Summer maxi for a while and knew I had found it when I came across this Mink Pink number online. 

I love how the skirts light weight fabric and genius thigh high slits allow the skirt to move so beautifully through the air as I walk. This skirt really does create its own breeze (portable fan anyone?) making it a very wearable option during even the most gruellingly hot Summer days. The lovely blue floral pattern with the button up front was just too inviting to pass up. Overall a great maxi skirt that will get plenty of use this Summer.

Casual Friday

My first attempt at Christmas shopping in the city yesterday was spent wearing classic, casual pieces. I love combining stripes with neutrals and decided to mix it up a bit by wearing a mustard and dark blue striped combination instead of the usual white/navy blue or white/black options. I love these fringed loafers, however am completely puzzled as to how I managed to get blisters on my feet despite how well worn in the shoes are. This may well just be one mystery that never gets solved.
