Green khaki jacket

The weather on Sunday was perfect for wearing a light jacket. I have been wanting to wear this khaki green jacket for a while, but until recently the winter weather has not allowed it. The pairing of stripes and green khaki feels like such a natural combination. There is something just so right about it. 

Unfortunately my camera battery went flat before my boyfriend could take detail shots of my boots and bag. They can however be viewed in other posts here and here.

Mixed prints

Yesterday I decided to combine two of my favourite prints, stripes and polka dots. I like both prints for their fun yet classic quality. I opted to remove the front pockets from the skirt to give it a cleaner and more streamlined shape.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I have had a pretty lazy one so far consisting of hanging out in the apartment and going on a dinner and movie date.

A new pair of brogues to add to the collection. I got this black and white pair on sale from Topshop. The black laces and patent toe caps stand out nicely against the white leather.

The September Issue

I know I am definitely not the only one obsessed with this years September issue of Australian Vogue. 

Firstly amazing cover. Katie Fogarty is so striking in Louis Vuitton. I really like the eye makeup and glamourous hair styling. 

Here are my favourite images from the Vogue Australia September 2011 issue.  

 

I love the use of polka dots in the monochromatic shoot 'Night Watch'. I really need that Louis Vuitton shearling hat in my life!

I love how the 'In the Mode' shoot captures 1940's glamour and romance but with a modern twist. Barbara Palvin looks stunning in every image. If only I could re-create those amazing loose curls with my strictly straight hair. My favourite piece in this shoot has to be the Miu Miu clutch bag.

On the pier

Last Sunday was a great day to relax by the water and watch the people walk by. This outfit really illustrates my personal style. I like mixing colour such as the yellow brogues with neutrals to give an outfit a little something.
