Buttons and dots

After just over a month of eagerly awaiting the arrival of these amazing polka dot trousers I was ecstatic to finally receive them from the post office last Saturday. I was getting very worried that I may never get to see these adorable trousers after the three week mark, prompting regular searches for parcel delivery cards in the letter box and even tweeting Topshop in hope of news. 

All I can say is that the trousers were definitely worth the wait! From the great ankle grazer fit, to the interesting teal colour and lets not forget the fantastic polka dot print these trousers are as close to perfect as it gets. 

I obviously could not wait to wear the trousers prompting this colourful outfit for a wonderful sunny Sunday. The combination of mustard with teal and black polka dots felt like a natural fit. I really like how the lovely button detail on the back of the top balances out the strong polka dot print on the trousers. It may seem excessive to talk about trousers this much but I guess it just shows how much I love polka dots right now!
